i miss it already.

tonight i thought about some of my friends back in sydney

and i missed them

with a real ache

i haven't had that feeling in a long time

rachel-joy and bethany

today was perfect

i woke up at eight in the america of china

and walked to work in the sunshine

via starbucks

where i picked up an iced latte and peanut butter scone

the rest of the day wasn't as movie like

but it was still so great

i love spring

and the sun

i am currently writing out lesson plans.

they are taking longer than expected.

these are my friends. they are wonderful and i love them.

i had one of those amazing days yesterday.

a day where i forgot where i was and just loved being here.

it started off with lunch with my parents in jingqiao, the america of china. i then went to a job interview and landed a real fun job which i start on tuesday. after that i walked via pines (where i bought a pack of twizzlers) to chrissy's where we hung out all afternoon. went and bought ingredients and wine for a girls movie night. we made pasta and and epic salad and sat down with a glass (or two) of red and 500 days of summer. after that and many chats we decided to go to the new 'authentic' mexican food place where our waiters were ... american. no asian in them, at all. pure white. i kept thinking how strange it was. why would a foreigner move to china to wait tables? confused. anyway, we (+josh) order coronas/sangria and hung out for hilarious times. i haven't laughed so much in a long time. it was so much fun. i then jumped in a taxi and headed back to china.

great day.

i love summer.

and every time i think it's ok

something pinches me

and reminds me that it's not
