freshly brewed coffee in the morning
dvds about friends and dance
email replies about teaching singing and dance
snickers bar slice
great message at youth
meeting up with my girls
a msg that made me feel better
encouraging service at church
cinnamon scroll and eggs benedict brunch
finally some sunshine at the end of a dull week

it's been a nice weekend

today a man from watchman prayer ministry came to our church. i was really encouraged by the work that is already happening in this world and also challenged to be more active in this prayer.

watchman prayer ministry is a group of individuals who have answered the call to pray continuously 24/7 until the Christ returns. prayer walls are already built in the us, england, germany, france ireland and mexico. the vision for building walls of watchmen here in china is now underway, praying for the lost and unsaved in shanghai. shanghai is the second largest city in the world. i'm asking you to join with us in praying for this city. we'll be praying around the clock.

please remember to keep shanghai and the rest of china in your prayers. pray that the blindfolds of the unbelievers may be removed and that they may see Christ for who He really is.

today is one of those china days

we do not appreciate the truth concerning the being and character of God. it is this failure that accounts, ultimately, for all our other troubles. we will persist in thinking of God as one of ourselves, as but a man, and we look at his actions as if they were the actions of a human being. we always start with ourselves, with our measurements, with our judgements and assessments...

start with God, with the greatness, the glory, the inscrutability of his marvelous, wonderful, gracious ways.
