it's not going to be smooth sailing

rain slows everything down in shanghai
it took me half an hour to call for a taxi from my complex this morning
it never takes that long
anyway, so i was late to my doctor's appointment
it didn't matter much, he is the funniest man ever
we spoke about vegemite and how he thinks it's so bad that it's good
he wants to try it one day in congee or on ice cream
what a man
after that, i spent half an hour looking at books in the new charterhouse
i then grabbed a skim caramel macciato and peanut butter scone from starbucks and headed home to music, rain and magazines

i strongly dislike it when i have chipped nail polish

yesterday i msged one of the girls i lead at youth group to schedule a catch up
the reply i got said :
i'd love to, but i'm moving back to the states on thursday

these kids pretty much live out of their suitcases. ready to head to the next country at anytime. she wasn't too phased. in the last ten years she has lived in england, spain, amsterdam, the states and china.

i'll miss you, claire.

i spent this morning in the sun drinking green tea, talking to elaina and looking at pretty pictures. pretty great
