i love this

i love my older brother. i have the pleasure of speaking to him randomly once every two months or so. we suck at keeping in contact. but everytime we talk we go back to where we left off. today, i found out that he's renovating his summer holiday house in france (to be completed next summer) his eldest daughter is turning thirteen this year (i remember when she was two) and that he's taking me pubbing for my birthday in june.

such a nice conversation tonight.
i love him.
he's the best at making fun of dad too.

things to realise:

He is in sovereign control of all that concerns me, His child.

God does not ask us to understand His ways, but He asks us to trust Him implicitly. He sees the whole, eternal picture.

my lack of faith does not nullify His faithfulness

i am not the point - He is. it is not about me getting out of suffocating pain, it is about His Son being revealed in me, about God's image being released in me
