i want waffles.
i just found out (i think i already knew this) you need a waffle maker to make waffles. there is no other way. so, it is actually impossible for me to make waffles tonight.

it's been crazy hectic with friends around and sydney and all that
but this morning i got to reflecting about o8
and yes. it was a full on year
many many ups and downs
but, it was amazing

summerschool o8. living in north sydney. beers with simon in china. meeting ellen. my girls at youth. chawaii. summer camp. driving with my best friend. night time chats with sarara. st thomas' music. byron bay. more time with kiki. the last time. eating too much. book stores. evading a five thousand dollar fine. teaching agc. speaking in strange accents. crap tv with betho. friday night hang outs avec derek then toms. super epic. wintershowcase. staying up too late. hanging out with ash for six weeks. chai in newtown. twilight books. sunday afternoon cocktails. glebe markets. infinite playlist midweek trip. brownie. ugg boots. youth camp. pocky. prison break. reading white oleander. elaina fun. the wedding. settling in china.

i'm sure there's more.
but they are off the top of my head.
it was a great year.

so, my best friend leaves shanghai today
i feel like she's staying here forever
it's just so normal and good
my parents leave for sydney in two days as well
so it's a bit bleh

i guess my life has been on hold for the last month
i haven't done anything normally because i've been away and then people have visited
i'm looking forward to some normality

london calls in just over a week. yeee

ellen is back in sydney
eli left today.
em is leaving on the weekend.
then it's jo ash and then paul.

i'd like someone to stay here for a while.

in other news, it's such perfect weather for doona, tea, book, and dvds.

today is one of those days where i'd like to stay in bed all day
and pretend it was all a bad dream
